Billboard announced that the Mariah Carey Christmas hit, “All I want for Christmas is You” is officially No.1 on the #Hot100. This is the first time ever since its release almost three decades ago.
Mimi seemed emotional as she told her 8.7 million followers on her Instagram “We did it” as on a regrammed announcement by the official Billboard Charts account.
“All I Want for Christmas Is You” is part of the album Mariah Carey Mery Christmas album and has become a staple in almost all Christmas playlists. A party is just not complete without it. As of this writing, the song has been streamed 599,475217 on Spotify with 604,238,790 views on Mariah Carey’s official YouTube channel.
Many artists have covered this Christmas classic including Michael Bublé, Fifth Harmony, Amber Riley, The Piano Guys, a remix version with Jermaine Dupri & Lil Bow Wow, and a duet version of Justin Bieber and Ms. Carey herself.
