Atlantis Theatrical just announced that Gab Pangilinan will play the role of music icon, Gloria Estefan in the upcoming production of On Your Feet.
Gab Pangilinan was part of Atlantis Theatrical’s Manila production of “Beautiful,” and “Side Show” together with Kayla Rivera. She also was seen and received rave reviews for her performance as Joy in “Ang Huling El Bimbo.” This charming, very talented woman is currently working on “Anna in the Tropics” with Repertory Philippines, and the musical adaptation of “Tabing Ilog” where she will be playing the role of Eds delos Santos.
“On Your Feet” is a jukebox musical based on the lives and music of 26-time Grammy Award-winning husband-and-wife team, Gloria and Emilio Estefan. The show features a score built around the Cuban-fusion pop music made famous by Gloria Estefan and The Miami Sound Machine. It includes songs like “Get on Your Feet,” “Conga,” “Rhythm Is Gonna Get You,” and an original song: “If I Never Got to Tell You” written by Gloria Estefan and her daughter Emily Estefan.
The musical received several nominations including seven for Outer Critics Circle Award nominations, three Drama League Awards and a Tony Award nomination for Best Choreography.
Presented through a special licensing agreement with Theatrical Rights Worldwide and Emilio and Gloria Estefan, On Your Feet Manila will run from November 13 to December 6, 2020 at the Circuit Performing Arts Theater in Makati City.
