This March, One Night Stand will talk about different stories of heartaches and heartbreaks in its next offering, ‘ACHES/BREAKS.’ It will feature heart-wrenching songs from musicals such as Waitress, Avenue Q, Mamma Mia, Jagged Little Pill, Chess, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Changing Partners, as well as the hit songs of Adele, Sam Smith, Robyn, Lady Gaga, Cher, Michael Bublé, and more. It will also pay tribute to some OPM hugot icons such as Nina, Jaya, Jessa Zaragoza, Gary Valenciano, Roselle Nava, Jolina Magdangal, Ice Seguerra, and Bituin Escalante.
Performers are some of the most promising musical theater artists in the metro: Juancho Gabriel (Mabining Mandirigma, Spring Awakening), Gio Gahol (Under My Skin, Rak of Aegis), Marynor Madamesila (Tagu-taguan Nasaan Ang Buwan?, Rak of Aegis), Matel Patayon (Dekada ‘70, Himala: Isang Musikal), Rissey Reyes (Si Saldáng, Si Marvin, At Ang Halimaw ng Gabi, A Christmas Carol), and Giob Rodriguez (Ang Huling El Bimbo, Song of Solomon). There will also be additional performances from special guests.
The show will be directed by John Mark Yap, with musical direction by Daphne Jocson.
It will be on March 3 (Tuesday), 9pm, at 12 Monkeys Music Hall & Pub, El Pueblo Real de Manila, Ortigas, Pasig City.
Door charge is 500 Php. Contact 12 Monkeys at 0917-570-3222 for table reservations. Guests may reserve a cocktail table for free or a dining table/couch with one bottle of hard liquor/wine requirement.
One Night Stand is a monthly cabaret which happens every first Tuesday of the month at 12 Monkeys, founded by Micaela Pineda, Chinie Concepcion, and Joaquin Pedro Valdes. The first show was in April 2015. The current producers are Micaela Pineda, John Mark Yap, and Pat Valera.
