After dominating YouTube with two different wildly popular web series UNHhhh (over 56 million combined views) and the Netflix-produced I Like to Watch (over 1.5 million combined views) as well as winning the hearts and admiration of millions after two separate runs on RuPaul’s Drag Race and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova are finally fulfilling a long-standing wish of their fans – they are releasing a new podcast titled, “The Bald and the Beautiful”.
Produced by Studio71, a Red Arrow Studios company, the new podcast from the “wildly successful cross-dressing bombshells” will debut October 6th, with new episodes weekly on Tuesdays.
Featuring the irreverent, absurd, and devastatingly hilarious banter that have made them megastars on YouTube and television, their new podcast endeavor will find Trixie and Katya dissecting the beauty and pop culture landscape with quick-witted insanity.
When asked to describe the podcast, Trixie says it will feature “screaming, wheezing, cursing, and occasional speech. Hairless, careless, and covered in urine. Two actual supermodels interview the horribly ugly,” while Katya says “I will finally be able to tell a story without being rudely interrupted.”
“Fans of these two know how hilarious their rapport is, and The Bald and the Beautiful truly highlights that,” said Analise Nelson, Podcast Producer at Studio71. “From earnest one-on-one discussions about their relationship to the concept of beauty to laugh out loud interviews with other drag icons and friends, we think The Bald and the Beautiful is a treasure and we hope you do too.”
The Bald and the Beautiful follows the July release of their NY Times-bestselling book Trixie and Katya’s Guide to Modern Womanhood as well as their brand new partnership on the “Red Scare” makeup line (including matte lipstick, lip gloss, and wearable glitter) via Trixie Cosmetics.
