Many of the applicants expressed their gratitude for being given the opportunity to participate in the process. The MUPh “no height requirement” allowed many young women to even be allowed to submit an application as most national pageants have a strict height requirement. Many more were also thankful that they did not have to travel to Manila for the initial screenings as it meant lesser expenses.
There is a wide range of delegates with varying pageant experiences. There were notable pageant veterans, many provincial and regional queens, and still quite a few pageant newbies.
