‘One Hundred Years of Solitude’ Part 2 Now in Production

Following the extraordinary recognition received with the first part of One Hundred Years of Solitude, both from audiences and specialized critics, Netflix is proud to announce that it has started its production for the second part of the series adapting Gabriel García Marquez’s masterpiece.

One Hundred Years of Solitude

The second part of One Hundred Years of Solitude will be directed by Laura Mora, as well as Carlos Moreno, the outstanding Colombian director of extraordinary feature films, such renowned Lavaperros and Perro come perro, and of excellent series such as Goles en contra and Distrito Salvaje.

Marleyda Soto and Claudio Cataño reprise their roles as the iconic characters Úrsula Iguarán and Colonel Aureliano Buendía, respectively. They will be joined by new faces who will bring more of Macondo’s unforgettable characters to life, including Ángela Cano, Emmanuel Restrepo, Estefanía Piñeres, María Adelaida Puerta, Emiliano Pernía, Juanita Molina, Laura Taylor, Obeida Benavides, Julián Román, and Carla Baratta, among others.
