In 2025, the Radio City Rockettes® mark a major milestone, celebrating their 100th anniversary with yearlong festivities. Founded in 1925 in St. Louis, MO, the Rockettes are America’s longest-running precision dance company, renowned for their iconic Rockettes Precision Dance Technique™.
To celebrate this centennial, the Rockettes are expanding their dancer development program, including the 2025 open call auditions on April 22 at Radio City Music Hall. The auditions offer dancers the chance to join the legendary Christmas Spectacular or participate in the company’s no-fee development programs. This expansion introduces Rockettes Preparatory, aimed at introducing dancers to the Rockettes’ signature style, alongside the existing Rockettes Conservatory, which focuses on advanced dancers.
Additionally, the Rockettes are launching Rockette Legacy™, a new initiative to honor former dancers and preserve the company’s history. Through this initiative, ex-Rockettes can share stories and memories, contributing to a living archive of the company’s legacy.
Since their founding, the Rockettes have become an integral part of American culture, performing in iconic events like the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Super Bowl Halftime Show, The Tony Awards, “Saturday Night Live,” “America’s Got Talent,” and at numerous presidential celebrations. They’ve danced alongside the likes of the Backstreet Boys, Mariah Carey, Cynthia Erivo, Jimmy Fallon, Jennifer Lopez, Kacey Musgraves, Leslie Odom Jr., Pitbull, Meghan Trainor and more. Their enduring legacy continues to inspire generations of women, offering a sisterhood that transcends decades.
