For thirty years, Trina Belamide has been a cornerstone of Original Pilipino Music (OPM), known for writing unforgettable pop ballads that have become timeless classics. Hits like “Shine,” “Now That I Have You,” “Reason Enough,” and “Tell the World of His Love” have been sung by iconic Filipino artists including Regine Velasquez, Martin Nievera, and Gary Valenciano.
Now, Trina is sharing her journey and craft with fans through a deluxe book titled Trilogy: The Songs of Trina Belamide. This book is a collection of her thirty most significant songs, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how each track was created.

“I never saw myself at a level where I would be able to put out a book like this,” Trina says, reflecting on her early dreams of seeing her name in liner notes. “And then, I was surprised—three decades later, I have so many songs.”
One of the highlights of Trilogy is the insight into Trina’s collaborations, especially with Regine Velasquez, who has recorded 19 of her songs. Trina’s deep connection with Velasquez is evident as she recalls their many projects together, expressing her joy every time Regine chooses her music.
National Artist Ryan Cayabyab has praised Trilogy, calling it a “true treasure for music lovers and aspiring songwriters.” The book is a landmark celebration of OPM, capturing Trina’s significant contribution to the genre.
Trilogy also includes lead sheets for all thirty songs. “Not a lot of people read notes these days, and I hope more people are encouraged to learn,” she shares, echoing Mr. Cayabyab’s hope for more musicians to embrace the knowledge because it helps you bring the song to life even if you’ve never heard it before.
With Trilogy, Trina aims to inspire a new generation of songwriters to embrace the joy of creating music. “There is so much joy in producing music, whether it’s live or recorded or written,” she says.
