A Surprise Announcement and New Music Tease
Fans who stayed for the end credits of Combo On The Run were treated to an electrifying surprise: not only was the Electric Fun Music Festival announced, but the band also teased a new song. If confirmed, this would mark Eraserheads’ first new material in over a decade, following their 2014 singles Sabado and 1995.
A Cinema Sensation
Combo On The Run has been a hit at the box office, extending its theater run due to overwhelmingly positive reviews. Directed by Diane Ventura, the documentary offers an intimate look at the band’s Ang Huling El Bimbo reunion concert and features rare behind-the-scenes footage and interviews. It is also the first Philippine documentary to be screened in Dolby Atmos.
In addition, the band surprised fans with an impromptu live performance on the opening day of the film’s release, delivering a six-song set to a packed theater at Gateway Mall Cinema 5.
The Eraserheads: Electric Fun Music Festival is shaping up to be a monumental event for Filipino music lovers. With a carefully curated lineup, a highly anticipated performance from the band, and potential new music on the horizon, it’s an experience fans won’t want to miss.
