G20, an action-packed thriller starring EGOT winner Viola Davis, is set to stream on Prime Video starting April 10. The film takes viewers into the heart of an international crisis as the G20 summit is attacked, and U.S. President Danielle Sutton (played by Davis) becomes the number one target.
As the president narrowly escapes capture, she must outwit the enemy to protect her family, defend her country, and safeguard world leaders. This intense and suspenseful ride is filled with twists and high-stakes drama.

The movie also features a strong supporting cast, including Anthony Anderson, Marsai Martin, Ramón Rodríguez, Douglas Hodge, Elizabeth Marvel, Sabrina Impacciatore, Christopher Farrar, and Antony Starr. Directed by Patricia Riggen, G20 promises to deliver a thrilling cinematic experience.
In a recent interview with Lyn Ching, Viola Davis shared her thoughts on playing such an action-packed role. While she is convincing as the U.S. President, she made it clear that she absolutely has no plans to pursue politics in real life. What keeps her strong at 59 is her love for her family — her daughter and her husband. “That’s home for me,” she said.
Despite the demanding nature of her role in G20, Davis revealed that the physical challenges were part of the fun. “It reminds me of why I fell in love with acting in the first place,” she said. “It’s all about stepping into make-believe and making it believable.” Davis also spoke about challenging stereotypes, saying, “I love challenging the notion of what a girl can and cannot do. Heroes come in many forms, and there are people out there capable of changing the world with their strength and heart.”
Don’t miss the action—stream G20 on Prime Video starting April 10!
