‘Padam Padam’: Kylie Minogue drops first single from new album

Grammy Award-winning pop-superstar and global icon Kylie Minogue has released the first new single ‘Padam Padam’ off her recently announced new albumTension, due for release September 22 via BMG. 

The catchy new single was produced by Lostboy (Griff, Anne-Marie, Tiësto) and encapsulates everything audiences and fans love about the musical icon. From the euphoric vocals to the infectious chorus and heart-pumping electronic drum beat, ‘Padam Padam’ is an instantly recognizable Kylie classic.

Filmed in LA and directed by Sophie Muller, the video sees a powerful and otherworldly Minogue dressed head to toe in red, including a custom-made Mugler catsuit with a dramatic sheer cape.

The pop-icon’s brand new studio album, Tension, described as a record of pleasure-seeking, empowered dance floor bangers and sultry pop cuts, will be released on September 22. Minogue worked with a number of producers on the album with seven of the tracks being produced and co-written with her long-time collaborators, Biff Stannard and Duck Blackwell.

Kylie Minogue’s glittering career has seen her amass sales of over 80 million records worldwide, five billion streams, and eight UK Number One albums. Her multiple awards include three BRIT awards, two MTV awards, and a Grammy. She is the only female artist to score a Number One album in five consecutive decades in the UK.
