Fans of The Greatest Showman are in for a treat as Loren Allred, the voice behind “Never Enough,” collaborated with Filipino music legend Regine Velasquez for a breathtaking rendition of “A Million Dreams.”
In an Instagram post shared, Allred expressed her excitement, calling Velasquez one of her all-time favorite singers. “The legendary Regine Velasquez-Alcasid is one of my all-time favorite voices and hands down one of the greatest singers of all time. I still can’t believe that I get to announce that tonight I’m releasing our version of ‘A Million Dreams’,” Allred wrote.
Regine Velasquez, widely regarded as Asia’s Songbird and one of the most influential figures in Original Pilipino Music (OPM), joins Allred on this stunning new collaboration. This song marks the second release from Allred’s upcoming EP, The Showman Sessions. The a four-song EP that features all the songs Allred demoed for The Greatest Showman film and soundtrack including “Rewrite the Stars” released earlier. The full EP expected to be out later this year.
In her post, Allred also expressed her gratitude to Fil-Am musical director Troy Laureta, who was pivotal in making the duet happen and served as the vocal producer for Velasquez’s part. “Big thanks to Troy Laureta for making this duet happen,” Allred wrote.
The track, now available on all streaming platforms, was recorded and filmed at The Bridge Recording Studios in New York City. The collaboration is produced by Dan Edinberg, with Velazquez’s vocal production by Troy Laureta, mixing by Jonathan Jetter, and mastering by Idania Valencia.
Troy Laureta, who worked closely with both artists, expressed his pride in the collaboration, saying, “It’s an honor to have been able to bring these two beautiful and iconic artists together for an epic collaboration! Cheers to a million more dreams coming true!”
Singing alongside a music icon was a dream come true for Allred, who shared, “Singing with one of my idols used to feel totally out of reach, but tonight, I’m just smiling and so grateful that dreams really do come true!!”
