Viva Films has just released the first teaser of the local remake of the South Korean film Miracle in Cell No. 7. The drama film is the film outfit’s entry for this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
The adaptation from the original 2013 movie is about a mentally challenged father who is unjustly jailed for the murder of a child. He makes new friends out of his fellow inmates, who then connive to reunite him with his daughter.
Aga Muhlach leads the Philippine cast that includes Xia Vigor, Bela Padilla, JC Santo, and Joel Torre. Miracle in Cell No. 7 opens on Christmas Day, December 25.
