Grammy-nominated rock band and BMG recording artists, Bush have released their long-awaited ninth full-length album The Art of Survival, via BMG, the group’s first new release since their critically acclaimed 2020 album The Kingdom.

After hinting at their new chapter for some time, the group unveiled the first single ‘More Than Machines’ on July 28. Prior to the release of The Art Of Survival, the hard-hitting track reentered Active Rock Radio Chart at number seven.

On the track, singer and guitarist Gavin Rossdale said: “This is an action-packed song with three really big topics. Off the bat, I don’t understand how anyone has the audacity to get involved or assume responsibility for women’s bodies. I wanted to reference that because it’s important to discuss. Girls you are in control, not the government,”

Bush wrote and recorded what would become The Art of Survival in 2022, reteaming with Erik Ron [Panic! At The Disco, Godsmack] who produced ‘Flowers On A Grave’ and the title track for the group’s previous album, The Kingdom.

After three decades, well over 20 million records sold, a Grammy Award nomination, one billion streams, and a procession of Number One hits, Bush stands tall as rock outliers whose influence continues to widen.

Bush commenced a North American tour on August 10 alongside Breaking Benjamin and Alice In Chains. Having sold close to 370,000 tickets the tour is set to conclude October 8.
